What File Info is for

File Info shows the selected open log’s duration, sample count, format, source and available values. Open and focus one log to inspect its recording details.

Use it when a view has unexpected coverage or a value is missing: it lets you check the recording’s size, duration, source and available value names before changing analysis settings.

Read the File Info section

File Info lists Samples, Duration, Values, Stored size, Format and Core status. Samples and Duration help confirm recording coverage. Values is the count of reported value names; it is not a statement that every value is populated throughout the recording.

Format currently identifies an SW2 v4 log. Core status reports the log’s current open state. If it indicates a problem, use the existing repair or support path rather than treating File Info as an editor.

Check provenance and available values

The Source section can show Original file, Provider, Source SW2, Event, Class, Time zone and Imported time. Optional source fields are omitted when the recording did not provide them.

Available Values lists the value names reported for this log. Use it to choose a valid metric in Graph, Table or a manoeuvre view. It does not add a metric or change the log.

No save, edit or export action

File Info has no metadata editor, race-cut action or analysis-document export. Reading it changes nothing, and there is no Save or Cancel step. Return to Library to edit metadata or manage files.
