SailViewer access

Free on ordinary phones, always. Free everywhere through 2026.

Use SailViewer on any supported device at no charge through 31 December 2026. Ordinary non-folding iPhone and Android phone use stays free after that. Foldable and flip phones require a subscription from 1 January 2027.

iPhone and Android phones

Always free

Ordinary non-folding phones, including large phones, do not consume a license slot or require a weekly online check.

Foldables, tablets and computers

Free through 2026

All iPads and Android tablets, including small models, all foldable and flip phones, and Mac and Windows require a subscription from 1 January 2027 at 00:00 UTC. This includes the iPad app running on Mac. There is no automatic charge; prices and purchase options will be announced before the change.

If you replace a device

Contact support if you need help replacing a device. Keep a copy of your sailing files; subscription access does not transfer the local library automatically.

If you are offline

Ordinary phones remain free offline. Other devices need an initial online verification, then another successful check within seven days (168 hours). Access can end sooner at the free-launch cutoff or subscription expiry. If verification is overdue, ordinary app use stops until access is verified; local sailing files are retained.

Private access

Developer, SailGP, reporting and other private service entitlements remain separate from this public free release.

Legacy SailViewer

The old Android SailViewer stays available and unchanged. Its manually issued access codes retain their existing terms. Users can move to the new SailViewer when ready; legacy codes, settings and libraries do not transfer automatically.
